By making a booking, paying for a hire, collecting equipment or accepting delivery, the Hirer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Equipment must be returned by the agreed date and time. Late returns may incur additional hire charges and reasonable losses caused by the late return. All advertised hire prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
A refundable security deposit may be required before equipment is released. The amount is confirmed at booking and may vary according to the equipment, replacement value, Hirer and circumstances of the hire. The deposit may be applied against amounts properly due under the hire agreement, including damage, loss, theft, missing components and unpaid hire charges, subject to applicable law.
We may request photographic identification, proof of address, business details and other reasonable information before releasing equipment. We may refuse a hire where we cannot reasonably verify identity or suitability.
Equipment is inspected before hire. The Hirer must report apparent damage or faults immediately and protect equipment from theft, loss, misuse, water damage, unnecessary impact and unsuitable storage or transport.
The Hirer is responsible for ensuring anyone using the equipment is competent and suitably trained. Equipment must only be used for its intended purpose and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable safety requirements.
The Hirer must not modify, dismantle, repair, lend, sell, sub-hire or transfer equipment without prior written permission.
Loss or theft must be reported immediately and, where appropriate, to the police. The Hirer may be responsible for reasonable replacement or recovery costs where permitted by the agreement and applicable law.
Some equipment may contain an electronic asset-tracking device for equipment security, theft prevention, loss recovery and protection of our property. It is not intended to monitor the Hirer’s personal movements. The Hirer must not remove, disable, interfere with or tamper with any tracking or identification device. Tracking information may be provided to insurers, police or other relevant parties where appropriate.
The Hirer must use compatible jaws and accessories and check the correct jaw profile, size, pipe and fitting before pressing. The Novopress ACO103 may be supplied with 15mm and 22mm angled jaws. The REMS Mini-Press 22V may be supplied with 15mm–35mm jaws as stated on the booking.
The Hirer must follow manufacturer instructions and handle CO₂ safely. Unless specifically agreed, a CO₂ cylinder is not included.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to this, the Hirer is responsible for safe and correct use.
Cancellation arrangements will be confirmed at booking and will not affect statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
